Large Quantity Bulk Orders
The majority of orders are printed here in the UK, although we work closely with some major advertising and marketing agencies that regularly require large quantities of promo mugs for product launches marketing campaigns within a short lead time. We have trusted suppliers in the Far East that can produce large quantities of top quality products to meet any deadline, container delivered to your door or individual mailing can be arranged.
Our discount mugs can be printed in a range of ways depending on your artwork, whether it’s a single colour logo or a full colour photo, anything is possible. Below is a guide to the main different ways available to produce these great items.

Screen Printing
This is the most popular and cost effective way of printing promotional mugs, if your artwork is made up of spot colours then screen printing is the way to go. A screen, which is really a negative of 1 part of the artwork (1 colour) is produced, the mug is rolled underneath the screen while the coloured ink is pressed through the negative leaving the image on the mug, this is left to dry and then the next colour (new screen) is applied until all the colours are on the personalised mug, next job is to fire them in the kiln to permanently imprint the ink into the ceramic. The results are vibrant colours and sharp artwork.

Die Sublimation Printing
The easiest way to print a photo or full colour image on mugs, the artwork is printed out onto special paper and held around the mug by clips then heated to around 200degrees, the ink in the paper is turned into a gas which permeates into the ceramic reproducing the artwork onto the cup. As only low heats are involved a traditional kiln is not needed, small businesses are springing up all over offering personalised mug printing services using this method as a small heat press and printer are all that is needed, although it’s worth mentioning that these small companies generally do not offer the quality of the larger companies who use much more sophisticated equipment to produce large batches in one go and can offer a range of mug styles, not just the standard 11oz photo mugs.

Transfer Printing
This process is used when the design needs to go on irregular shapes or inside the rim and hard to reach places. Transfers offer sharp detail with good colours, the artwork is firstly screen or litho printed onto a format which can be treated with water then slid onto the ceramic and positioned where needed, bigger areas are able to be covered using a transfer. One point to make is that producing a transfer and applying it is more labour intensive that other methods which in turn means its generally a more expensive way of buying business mugs.
